Iconoscope tube 1940's tv camera tbue exc. The iconoscope was invented by dr. lVadimir zworykin pictured examining an rca 1846 iconoscope in the early 1920s while working for westinghouse.
When westinghouse failed to appreciate his accomplishment, dr. Zworykin took his inventions to rca's david sarnoff. This one appears to be a ww ii era rca 1846 there are no markings other than the b147 which i would guess to be a serial number. The 1846 was produced for the military and used for remote control bombs and planes.

They were sued in glide-bombs, as well as aboard war-weary b-17s and b-24s that were packed with explosives and used as unmanned kamikaze type weapons against targets in europe, notably german submarine pens. The tube is in excellent condition.

The round portion measures approx 4.25 and the tube is about 11 long. Most of the weight will be cardboard and bubble wrap will be 4 pounds from zip code 24012. I have been a collector of scientific instruments, early radios and wireless era equipment for teh past 40 years. I still attend many local and national meets every year and travel extesnively feeding my habit. I will always try to describe items honestly and make every effort to make the the process smooth and lpeasent for both parties.

Unlike many others i do not have a huge list of petty rules and threats for non compliance. It is all very simple. No charge to fill out customs forms!

As with all used equipment, particularily electronics. Please do not ask me to file false customs valuations ro under insure items. On rare occasions and with awkward or fragile itesm i will charge for packing. < type="text/java ">ctcqadmskdfem();Rca 1846 Iconoscope Tube 1940s Tv Camera Tube Exc
